Enough about me. I want to know about you.
Life is interesting, people are fascinating. Like our fingerprints, we each are different, having our
own story to tell. No one gets through this life unscathed. We all are bumped around, bruised,
tattered, and torn. We all have had those exhilarating moments we hang onto our dear life, while
anticipating the disaster around the corner. We have moments of blissful wonder, finding it hard
to believe what we’ve just experienced.
I want to hear about yours.
Not because I am nosy, rather, because every person we meet weaves into the beautiful fabric
creating the tapestry of our lives. This is true for all of us. I hope I can bring some color to your
life, deep hues in the alleviation of suffering, glittering stands of joy that can only come from an
answered prayer.
I think you should know this right away. I have been around for a long time. Seventy years to be
exact. Over time, I’ve been a student, a teacher, a fashion model, a mom, a wife, a traveler to
places far and wide; I’ve sold real estate, and I’ve spent considerable time in a professional
French kitchen learning how to cook.
And then, there was that time I came precariously close to selling my soul. Indeed, I was that bon
vivant who crashed into the front gates of a boarding house with practically nothing left except
the clothes I was wearing. The horse I rode in on ran away into the sunset never to be seen again.
C’est la vie.
Drop me a note, make it anonymous if that’s your preference. Tell me your problems, share your
happiness. I’ll tell you what I think, we can keep the dialogue going in this public forum.
Anonymous therapy. Cheers!
My ancient grandmother, resting peacefully now in her forever place, often said, “Joy shared is
twice the joy, grief shared is half the pain.” I know what she meant.
Allow me the privilege of getting to know you, and perhaps offer some help, as we walk each
other home.
Sending much love,
